Trout Run Trail completed its final addition to the trail with a new bridge over Highway 9. The new bridge includes seasonally changing LED lights. In addition to biking, walking, running, and cross-country skiing opportunities, the trail provides safe, non-motorized access to trout streams, the Upper Iowa River, and local parks, campgrounds, and businesses. Users might also choose to stop at the Decorah Fish Hatchery, one of only three trout hatcheries in Iowa and home to Siewer Springs, the second largest natural spring in Iowa. The trail has numerous access points and parking areas, including at Wold Park, Trout Run Park, Will Baker Park, the Decorah Fish Hatchery, and near the 5th Avenue Bridge."
