Paved asphalt trail is an old rail bed so not much elevation change with the bulk of the trail. There is a new culvert that replaced the old, rickety wooden bridge in Waterloo. On the other end, right at the edge of Waterloo, there is an of shoot trail connecting to Cedar Falls. This portion has some more attractive features and more terrain changes.
